Toilet leak repair issues

On our last camping trip, we had a leak develop around the flush valve at the rear of the toilet (Dometic 310 model). I tightened the connections and still had water. When we got home, bought a new flush valve and put it on yesterday. It’s hard to get to, but not a difficult install at all. So, hooked up a water hose here at the house and turned it on to check for leaks—had very low water pressure coming out of the toilet bowl—and quite a bit of “hammering noise” in the plumbing. Water pressure from the hose is good, but still can’t figure out why low pressure in the camper? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated—I am sure no plumbing expert, but this should have been an easy part replacement, so not sure what’s happening. Thanks everyone!

Is the low water pressure just at the toilet, or is it throughout the camper? FWIW, I recently had the same issue . . . only at the toilet. I finally disconnected the water hose for the toilet at the (aftermarket) shut-off valve and discovered a huge amount of lime/calcium build up on the output side of the shut-off valve. I cleaned it out with an awl, reconnected the line, and the great water pressure returned. There is a LOT of lime in the water at both my summer and winter campgrounds. If there is a lot of lime in the water at your favorite campsite, you may want to check that connection. If that doesn't work, (or if the low pressure is in the entire camper), you may want to check for debris in the debris collection cannister on your water pump, the in and out water connections to the pump, and the screen on your city water connection.
