We have been looking at upgrading campers and I am looking for opinions on camper size vs tow vehicle. I have a 2020 Ram 2500 gasser, crew cab 4x4 and looking at a eagle 294CKBS or something in that size. We tow often as this is our living quarters at BMX races on the east coast. How do you think the Ram will handle this size camper?

What engine? 5.7 or 6.4? Helps determine. Traler is around 12,000 pounds. If towing often might consider diesel.

Truck is a 6.4L. I will be towing very often but not interested in a diesel. Payload is to low on a 2500 diesel.

Tongue weight could be as much as 15%. Over time it creaps up. So plan 15%, so 1700 lbs. Add your hitch and all your passengers and cargo.

Look at your payload sticker on the driver's door kam and see where you atin comparison.

Happy travels.
