Does anybody have any experience with replacing the bolts that hold the springs on with new bolts that have zerk fitting that you can grease I know that they make a whole kit but was told that the bolts do just as good job and cost less money. We have a little over 6000 miles and want to keep this trailer for a long time.

So with the kit installed what difference did it make while pulling. All I want to do change the regular bolts to wet bolts. But after looking at some of the new stuff it seems that it is mor heavy duty than the original stuff. Thanx for the thread.

It definitely quieted the suspension down, and I don't worry about the shackles wearing any time soon. If your going to R&R the bolts, I would also go to the HD shackles since you will have the OEM's off.

This is something I hadn't even thought of but would probably be a good end of the season mod on our new trailer. Thanks for the link Bob.
