Before we had the Jayco we had a Casita. I have a vague memory of adapting the tongue jack and installing a "quick release/removal" mechanism, where you could remove the jack after hitched to the TV and then able to lower the tailgate of the TV.
I have a cargo trailer I'd like to do something similar with but for the life of me I cannot find any information about the modification. It was basically a plate you installed on the trailer frame, and a gizmo installed on the jack post that allowed you to twist and remove the jack from the frame and store elsewhere. It was also touted as an"anti theft" bit but I'm not so sure about that.
Does anyone have any hints for me to follow? Many thanks.
