I used Dicor on my roof and the roof is "bubbling" in the area where I applied it. It's only been 24 hours, it is still soft. This seems very unusual. The directions did mention "stretching," but these are "bubbles that are about 1/4" high. Anyone seen this before? Does it settle or am I in for a bigger job.

How soon after 'new' ownership are you folks finding the lap sealant needs attention?

I'm curious because my 2016 was built in January of 2016, so it's just two years old. When I last checked it while washing the roof just before closing in October, the sealant was still in perfect condition. Hopefully it's withstanding this, it's third, winter well. I don't expect to be able to check it again until opening in May.

Yep just relax and give it time. Mine bubbled up too when I beefed up the front seam sealant... I was anxious at first but once the stuff dries the rubber roof settles right back down and looks normal. I think it's from the petroleum distillates in the sealant which evaporate once its dried. That's what I was told anyways.

I think it depends a bit on where your TT is located. I have heard people say they have had cracks in the sealant within a year. I noticed the first signs of cracks and bubbles in the caulking was about year 3.5. At 4 years, still none broke through, but I applied eternabond over all the seams. Now, I never have to worry about it. My HTT, which is stored indoors in the winter and left outside in the sun all summer.
