Trying to find Lug Nut Covers

Hi, all. I know the issue of wheel covers and lug nut covers has been touched on, but I'm looking for a little help in replacing a lost lug nut cover on my 2019 Precept 31UL.
One of the two lug nut covers that hold the center hub cover on has been lost (somewhere!). This is on the rear dualies, not the front wheels. I was washing the rig and noticed that the hub cover was loose and saw that one of the lug nut covers was gone. It is held on by two lug nut covers that have a nut inside.

I've been online looking for a replacement but (as far as I know) I haven't found the right part. Has anyone else lost one of these and been able to replace it and if so where? Any help or leads would be appreciated. The lug nut cover I'm looking for is almost two inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter.

Well, I will buy just the lug nut if I don't find what I'm looking for. If you look at my photos, you can see there is a lug nut cover with a lug nut inside. That is what I've lost (there are two of these on each wheel to hold the center hub cover in place).


I did look on Amazon but didn't see anything that matched mine in size. I'll take another look. Thanks.

You can not just buy a cap for the lug nut. It is high pressure crimped on the lug nut. Mine was 1 1/8” outside. If yours is as well, I can send a link to you for what I bought that worked.

The cover I am missing actually has a lug nut inside it (see photo) and it is used to hold the center hub cover in place. If it was one of the other purely decorative covers I probably wouldn't care, either.

That's kind of what I assumed. I lost the both the cover and lug nut inside of it. Mine is 1 1/2 outside so they are different. Thank for the input.


If worse comes to worse, I'll just get a replacement lug nut to hold the center hub in place and hopefully find the right cover at some point.

I also lost one. They are comprised of two pieces. In 2018 many of the wheel covers were supplied by Dicor. They discontinued the wheel cover and sold that line to Phoenix USA. I could not find the exact replacement for mine but they did have some thatwere very close. You could try them as they sell both the cover and the replecement nut. You could also try etrailer in Wentzville Missouri. They also have several sizes.

Thanks for the input! I did order two or three Phoenix lug nut/covers from Amazon and they were way too small. I think they have a website of their own. Etrailer didn't seem to have what I was looking for, but I have a feeling it would be easier if I just called and talked to someone and explained exactly what I have. Anyway, I'm sure something will turn up.

Yes,I had the best results by phone and talking to a person. I started be calling Newmar who built my unit. They gave me to Phoenix and I called them. Unfortunately the ones on my wheels are no longer available for my 2019 unit but Phoenix offered some that were very close so you barely notice. Good luck

Those look different than the ones on my '24 Precept 34G. I lost a couple of them and found replacements at Haltec (OEM). It might be worth giving them a call and see if they can help. See attached.

Made my own lug nut covers for my wheel simulators.

Greetings! Not sure if this will work for you (and if I can get my photos posted.)
I lost a lug nut and cover for my 2022 Precept 31UL. Searched for a year...trucker brother no real help...dealership and Jayco NO help! Had to make my own. What worked for me was:
- Dorman axle spindle nut 615-097 (MUST have a shoulder to grind down)
- United Pacific 1 1/2" x 2" Chrome Steel Bullet Nut covers 10004P barcode: 710270003099 (slightly longer than originals)
- steel epoxy like JB Weld....best if it can be "wrapped" around the ground-down nut to give the cover something to "bite" into.

I marked the nut with the outline of the cover, making sure I had a shoulder. Then I ground it down on my wheel from a circle to a hexagon that would fit flush with the inner of the cover. DO NOT grind down to the actual sides of the nut...it can't be used then and is a lot of extra work. Takes about 30 or less minutes. WARNING: when grinding observe all safety precautions and have a small bowl of water to occasionally dunk your HOT nut into. Yep...it gets mighty hot.

Once it fits and the nut is cool, I used my dremel cut off disk to cut some notches into the nut and the cover to allow me to punch the indented sides inwards when I put the epoxy on. The nut notches are to allow the epoxy something to "bite" into rather than try to hold onto a smooth surface.

Clean the nut with alcohol to remove any oil or chems that might impede the epoxy sticking. Roll some epoxy so its like a sausage, then wrap it around the nut above the edges you made so it is slightly over the edges. Then slide the nut into the cover until its level with the cover edge.

Lastly, take a small punch or screwdriver and hammer and punch the three indents in so they "grab" the epoxy and (hopefully) push some out where you made the notches. Or maybe you can spot weld it...but this is what worked for me on three (two in use and one as a spare.)

This is what worked for me. If you go this route, be patient and think it through. Maybe you or someone has a better suggestion. Good luck to all who have the same issue.
