Had a tailgater installed on roof, didn’t like the set up so had it removed. Now can’t get cable channels to load. Yes the power switch is turned off. I think the shop forgot to hook something back up, but they can’t get to it till august. Any suggestions as to what to try?

We need a bunch more info here including which rig you have. There is some rewiring that needs to be done to get DISH (a tailgater so I am assuming DISH) and there is a coax schematic available in the Manuals/Tools section that I put in there some time ago.

You need a straight shot from the Sat to the DISH receiver without splitters in between or it will not work.

And when you say "cable channels" do you mean DISH channels?

Just exactly what are you trying to do would be helpful.

Tailgaters only work with a direct coax to the Wally no spliters. When it turns on it asks what state your in, if it doesn't, unplug the Wally and restart it it. Sometimes you need to call dish to re send the signal or do it yourself with the app. YOU DID CALL DISH to turn it on right?

I believe he removed the dish and thinks some cables didn’t get hooked back up.
Cable wiring can get kind of complicated.

Satellite can only be wired one way, a direct copper coax from the roof tailgater to the receiver. I make my own cable. 90 percent of cables now are cheap steel with a coating of copper on it

Everyone is missing the point. He didn’t like the dish so he removed it. Now he can’t get park cable to work.

As I said. We need a bunch more info.

We might start by knowing is he going directly to the tv with whatever source he is using to test?

Did the installers change cabling?

And the list goes on.

Andddddd

May be as simple as the tv Antenna booster is on.
Needs to be off to get cable thru the splitter syatem

He said booster is off. I was just pointing out, people were saying he needs a straight cable from the dish to the receiver for it to work. He “removed the dish” and apparently in the process a or some cables didn’t get hooked back up.
OP, can you get over the air channels?

Maybe just call him....seems you two speak the same language

Lol

On my Jayco, there are two cable inputs: One is for the crank up antenna (and when button/amplifier is pressed). The other cable input runs to the bottom side of the camper (in one of the basement doors), where you would connect to the campsite cable. I suspect the coax that was used for the campsite cable was used for the tailgater, and did not get re-connected to the bottom side of the camper when this tailgater setup was removed.

They changed your cables

Check at the antenna booster connection to be sure both cables are connected

Beyond that no telling what they did
