TV Problems

Hey Folks, need help figuring out what’s up with my 2014 Jayco Greyhawk 31 FS TV system. First trip out this year in a nice KOA campground with cable, near a metro area. The auto scan function does not find any cable channels, signal amp on or off, front or rear screen. Same goes for the air broadcast channels; no channels found, signal amp on or off, front or rear screen. There is power to the TVs. All cables are secure and connected, front and rear screens.

Playing a DVD from the dash player does not play correctly on the TV (set to AV input as required). The TV picture flashes and is distorted but plays completely clear on the dash screen.

I have not experienced all these problems before. In the past all systems were fine and I can’t figure out what has changed that might cause all this. Is there something that needs to be rebooted, reset or reconfigured? Where do I go from here? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

For TV from the antenna the booster has to be on, light on booster on; for cable the booster has to be off. After selecting cable or antenna you need to select the correct mode on the TV; cable or Air, then run a channel scan.

Thx for your reply. I saw where sometimes you have to unplug the TV from the power source for a few minutes and then plug it back in. That worked and all is back to normal now.

We finally did that same thing and I guess everything re-set! Yay!!!

For what is worth, your solution is universal to most tv's. I have a fancy 75" Samsung at home, and things will go crazy sometimes with no obvious solution. A few days ago, Sling TV would not boot up. Their logo would show on the screen with the rotating hourglass . Other channels were just fine. Eventually I unplugged the TV for a few seconds and it was all fine after that
