Unpopular Jayco options: I actually use the ...

Did you all know the Preditor 3500 will power your whole dang rig...I feel kind of bad I sold mine. It really was a good gen..

In keeping with the OP’s original question, here goes. I know, they border on blasphemy...
— We use the OEM bathroom vent fan and LIKE it. It does the job and our hearing is bad enough it doesn’t bother us.
— We HAVEN’T swapped the original shower head for an Oxygenics. Plenty of flow and the soap comes off just fine.
— Although the original iRV radio was replaced under warranty, we do listen to it and the indoor speakers actually sound good.
— We still use the original HAND CRANK for the tongue jack! Works fine and gives me bigger biceps.

We cook anything inside. Not a fanatic about using gloves during all sewer operations. Use my black tank as designed! Check my lug nuts every trip and in the middle of trips; and for good reason! Mounted a second bumper over my rear bumper to store sewer hose (didn't know any better at the time). Believe everything I read on this forum.

Replaced mine with an elcheapo Home Depot job.

Mine puked so had to replace it.

So there!

These are great! Yes, use the Capital Grille, take a dump in your camper, Furrion Lit actually works well, guests stay on sofa bed, walk on the roof regularly.

So many are afraid of many of the things mentioned in this thread. Glad to see other people think like we do.

:D

Here goes:
- We use the oven successfully but mostly for biscuits and cakes
- Seldom cook inside - Hate the smells and grease inside and love to cook on the grill/smoker and over camp fire
- I have other people climb the ladder for roof inspection and cleaning - I'm afraid of heights
- sticking with the factory installed folding 4-steps instead of the stairs that fold up inside the door. Don't want my entry way blocked and sometimes I don't have room in storage to open all the steps.
- we run our bathroom fan all the time non-stop and cannot hear it with the door closed.
- I put rid-x in my black tank. I have found nothing that indicates it is harmful to the plastic holding tank and my tank has drained much better since using it.

We're happy with the factory steps, too. We just oil all the pivot points often, and they are great.

I travel with a full water tank

I pull into a campground when I arrive. That may be after dark.

I only turn my propane off if entering a tunnel, my fridge was made to keep my food cold and safe to eat.

Our five year old Denver mattress is still plenty good - have always used it and will until it's bad.
Cook on the stove and use the little vent fan.
We don't hook up sewer until we're full or leave.
Never turn off the propane tank unless specified by state law.
If camps are full will stay in tent spot if allowed.
