Hi all. In my 2011 Greyhawk I currently have a thermostat controlled power vent fan over the bed (see pictures). I'm looking to upgrade this as the bezel is broken and I'd like to install a Camco Vent Cover up top. Anyone have any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to replace the bezel if the fan still works well. Yours is like mine, but I am not sure the manufacture, but the bezels are sold separately for at least certain model fans and maybe they are a bit universal for other similar brands.

btw, vent covers and bezels are independent of each other. You can replace one without the other.

Problem I'm running into is that this is a power vent and it opens so high it will hit the vent cover. Not sure what will happen if I put vent cover on and then turn on vent.

Many vent covers sold are not high enough as you stated and that was a big concern I had as well. However, some are indeed high enough so that powered vent lid will not hit it. I will see if I can find what I purchased but it has been a while... My cover doesn't get hit, but I did purchase my first cover for this rv and intended to use it for the powered vent, which I saw (before installation) that it would have hit the vent lid so I used that cover on the front non-powered vent and then purchased a different cover for the powered vent that has enough clearance. ~CA

If I remember correctly the lid stops when it encounters resistance, the same when closing. I don't remember any switch going in either direction. So when it hits the cover it should automatically stop. Same principle as the electric steps.

I just verified that you are correct as when the vent opens there is also a knob that turns (I suppose in case of a power failure so you can still close the vent). It only took a very light amount of resistance when I put my hand on the knob to stop the lid from raising further and the lid stopped, and also it stopped trying to go up any further. ~CA

I would grab a helper and simply place the vent cover in place and hold it there while a helper opens and closes the power vent just to make sure it will work well for you (as I suspect it will). It has been ~10 years or so for me and I don't recall for sure, but it is possible that I had a reason other than just that lid would hit... but again I don't recall which is why I suggest to try the operation with a helper prior to taking the time to fully install the cover to the vent. If the only issue is the lid hits when it is almost fully raised, then that shouldn't be a concern after all based on what Grumpy was saying and that I checked as well. (but I would still take a few minutes to verify there are no issues on your vent fan with the cover you have before installation) ~CA
