Thinking about doing something different with the shower curtain. Looking for good ideas. It seems a little tricky to keep the water inside the shower maybe even a vinyl replacement curtain may help over the cloth. Has anyone replaced the rod with an RV extend arod in their 23b or other camper with the neoangle shower if so does it work well? do you like it? Are you able to keep the water off the floor with it?
Thanks

In our TT, we were having some water on the floor but it wasn't from the curtain itself. It was from where the curtain meets the walls. I went to Home Depot and bought these little plastic gizmos called "Shower Guards" and stuck them in both corners where the tub meets the wall. It cut down on the problem by about 92.7% (give or take - haha).

I was curious about the shower curtain, as well. Ours is cloth and I'm very skeptical that the water won't penetrate it.

Ours is cloth and I have had some problem with water coming through the cloth but not much but seems more if I touch the curtain very much while in the shower

Yes I agree a lot of the problem is the wall and curtain area where it is hard to keep the cloth curtain against the wall.

Keeping water off the floor in the shower is mostly about how you level your camper. Mine is in the rear so I keep the front a little high and not had any problems whatsoever.

Three things I have done to reduce the possibility of water coming out around the curtain/through the curtain. I covered the factory curtain with a second curtain. I have a "moose/lodge" theme in my camper and used a shower curtain that I had. I attached Velcro to both of the curtains. I keep the factory curtain in the shower and the moose curtain on the outside. The moose curtain darkens the shower, but not enough to bother me. Both curtains go get wet, but dry quickly. Water does not run down onto the floor. The second thing I have done is to put an L shaped shower guard on the side of the shower away from the faucet. I have a large one, about 3 foot high and the bottom of the L is about a foot long. I would not have used the shower guard IF I could have found another set of shower curtain clips. The clips are about 2 inches square. They were a 2 X 4 inch piece of plastic that was folded in half. They clips have a sticky back that you attach to the wall. Then you pull the curtain into the gap created by the fold. The clips hold the curtain to the wall. I use the clips on the side of the shower where the faucet is.:)

In my PU, I had put Velcro on the wall and the curtain to keep the shower curtain closed. If someone doesn't like the fabric getting wet, you can put a clear liner curtain on the inside of the cloth curtain or spray the curtain with water repellent spray.

I am not sure how the level of the camper affects water coming out around or through the shower curtain. If my trailer isn't level, some of the water doesn't go down the drain and pools along the low side of the tub/shower pan.

Shower curtain clips or "splash clips" can be found at Bed Bath and Beyond

While I do not exactly what type setup each has. My last TT had the tub with cloth type shower curtain. I installed "splash guards" in the corners with double sided tape from Ace. They are 6" x 6" triangluar pieces of white plastic that has a slot in them for holding the shower curtain. I have them in the kids tub at home too and they work great.

What also helped was a cheap home size clear or white plastic shower liner that I doubled up with the orginal cloth curtain. When I installed the liner I started one hole in leaving about a 8" extra piece to lay flat against the back wall and did the same on the head end. By doing this you have a decent amount of curtain coming into the shower sealing it off pretty well. A damp wall makes a good adhesive. A simple cloths pin on top can hold it back if you don't like the way it looks when not in use and open. The home size ones also are longer so you might have to trim the bottom as well.

These mods are about $20.00 total and will keep 99% of the water inside, level or not.

the clips look like a great idea I also went to my local B&BW and they did not carry them in store. They looked them up for my zip code and most stores did not carry them I saw one store in another state that had them listed in store. You may be able to get a store to look up the area you would be in and see if they stock them.

Thanks for the info. I am also thinking about sewing Velcro onto the curtain and just Velcroing the one side to the wall.

Haven't used it yet but I added a thin clear plastic curtain to the back of the factory shower curtain which I then bring inwards to the shower wall and hook the two end rings of the plastic shower curtain to the shower wall. Hope this works as it will have been a very simple fix!

How did you add it? I haven't figured out how those clips come loose without removing the whole rod that's fastened to the overhead.

I added a shower curtain to the outside of the factory curtain. I used Velcro to attach the new curtain to the factory curtain. I have pictures at webshots.:)
