using power tongue jack to assist in equalizer hitch

Ordering electric jack soon, I use my manual jack to hook up my hitch, easier and safer. I am bringing the cordless drill too.

Continuing with the posts, the electric jack is AWESOME. Lifts EVERYTHING with ease. Hook up is a snap. So glad it was an option.

Grantsoo,
don't know if you picked up your camper yet or not, but some food for thought that I didn't know about and found out the hard way. Make sure you have some wood blocks or some leveling blocks available to put under the tongue jack. I didn't have any and ran out of room on my jack before I was able to remove my arms for my weight distribution hitch. When I did my walk thru with my dealer, he had some wood blocks, and I never thought about needing some of my own until I was back home trying to un-hitch.

This might help others. When I needed blocks, I went down to Home Depot. They had a huge bin full of cut off ends of 2x6's and 2x8's near the in-store saw. Each cut off end was maybe a foot long so I asked the guy working there about them. He told me to take as many as I wanted since they were going to throw them out anyway. I left with enough to handle my front jack and all four stabilizers too.

I hear your problem. When I hooked up at the dealer the TT was in the garage and the TV was sloped down outside so the hitch was way up in the air. He went and cut 4 small pieces of 2x4 which didn't get us close. Then he went a got a short piece of 4x4, which just got us there. Thinking of unhooking, I asked if I could snag the 2x4's and he threw in the 4x4 as well. Was I ever glad I did! He told be the Suburban sits higher than others on the back end anyway so I would need extra jack base height.
