Varmints eating through generator gas lines and propane lines

Hi Folks,
I'm sure this topic may have been discusses way back when...

What are some things one can do to keep varmints from eating through generator gas lines and propane lines underneath a RV?

I hvae replaced several propane lines as well as my generator gas line. Recently I had to repair my gen gasline.

People tell me I can smear some hot pepper sauce on the lines....but I'm somewhat hesitant of that remedy.

Any thoughts?

There are spray cans of repellent but not sure they work. Have you considered replacing with copper lines? Or putting the lines inside some hard plastic or light metal piping?

My choice would be to switch to braided stainless steel propane lines.
Call your local LP company that offers delivery. Many of them have expertise in making propane lines and could either help you or find a source for stainless lines made up with end fittings installed.

Not sure...could be mice, squirrels or chipmunks.

I park the unit outside of my house. Do you have a suggestion for a repellent?

'Light' - Rodents won't come around if the area is well lighted.. Some folks put LED lights on their underbelly with motion detectors.... The 4x4 people claim that Fluid Film, a product used to protect vehicle under carriages, also keeps rodents at bay.. Personally, i sealed the entire undercarriage skin with Turnabond Tape..Anyplace there was a place for a rodent to get in i sealed it.. it wasn't a cheap proejct, close to $200.... Also helps a bit in insulting the underside.
