Hi everyone. Newbie here with a problem with my new (to me) 2005 Jayco Select. It seems as though the canvas may have shrunk a little because the velcro that seals the seam at the door doesn't cover completely. The velcro on one side lines up perfectly, but the other side may cover halfway or less across the velcro strip. I've pulled as much as I can, but can't gain any extra. Is there something I can do to get better coverage as I am concerned about leaking? Thanks in advance.

The door is in straight. I'm just thinking that the vinyl has shrunk over time. A local RV dealer recommended taking the screws from the top and bottom of vinyl and stretching it over then remount the screws, but I'm afraid that will cause more problems than what I've got. I'm leaning toward sewing a wide strip of Velcro to the flap just to give it more coverage. Then find a way to seal that. I don't know. I think I'm really going to just have to play with it to figure it out.

I actually agree with the idea of readjusting the tent, we also had to do that and we bought ours new. It may have been like that for a while.

Door and velco not meeting

We unzipped the window half way near the door. This releases the tension on the canvas so you can attach the velco to the door frame. After attached, rezip up the window (albeit a little hard to do, but can be done.)
