Hi all. When we use our furnace, it gets ridiculously hot up stairs in the bedroom. There’s a floor vent in the bedroom that can’t be closed and one in the bathroom.

I bought vent covers from Lowe’s, but they didn’t do anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what will work to cover the vents?

Thanks.

Heat rises so in addition to your vents you have the downstairs air accumulating upstairs. You could try a fan on low at the top of the stairs pushing that air back down.

To test the theory pile some blankets on top of the vent to seal off the air.

May try the fan.

On ours, there is a setting to turn on the main AC fan when the furnace runs so it circulates the hot air better throughout the coach. It does make a difference in leveling out the temperature.

Where is that? I don’t think mine has that feature. Our rig is a 2015 323 LKTS. The hvac controls look like the regular ones in most rvs.

Ours is through the BMPro tablet or the app on our phones. Yours is a little older and probably doesn’t have the BMPro. Put your rig in your signature and that will help you from getting misinformation like I just gave you. Sorry about that.

No worries. I usually put it in my post, but forgot this time. Thanks.

Ours has a digital display just like at home. If you want to block off the upstairs vents, just put a small rug over it. There may be times when you want heat and it's easily removed.
