Walk on Roof (19XUD)

Hey everyone, new to this RVing with our first Travel Trailer bought this winter. We got a 2017 Jay Feather 7 19XUD and I was wondering if the roof can hold the weight of a person. It doesn't have a ladder on the back so wanted to check before I get up on the roof to clean the AC Coils before our first trip. Thanks for any advice on this

You should be fine since it has the Magnum Truss Roof. Just don't do the "Jig" while you're up there.

I had an idea of cutting a piece of 3/4" plywood to about 2'x4' and putting 1" purple insulation foam under it to help spread the weight and the foam protect the membrane. Am I over thinking it or would something like that help?

Many have said they use a walk board when on their roofs. I never did, but I always tried to step where the rafters were.

I come in around 160 while on the roof. Some flex but have not felt uncomfortable. I have cleaned roof, added vent caps, replaced Dicor with Etearnabond all over and added solar panels with no problems.

As prior post, no jumping around, avoid moving fast and you should be ok. The rubber is thin but has held up to walking for me and a lot of past posts I have read.

Haven't been up on my 19XUD as 87yrs young and don't do ladders anymore, but for past 2 years RV cleaning guy has been with no problems. Figure he's 175 0r so. Good luck
