Walking on my roof?

I'm a bit heavier than 190 and have learned that I can walk on RV trailer roofs. I've also learned some other things.

Try to stay on the edge areas and rafters as much as possible. Areas nearer the walls have a bit more support as you have less leverage on the rafter. I can usually feel the difference between where the rafters are and where they aren't. Walk around gingerly until you are certain that there are no soft spots from leaks or other possible issues. If you feel too much give then back off before putting all your weight down.

The roof areas over long slides have less support. They are generally more springy. I would avoid those areas unless access is necessary.

Don't be surprised that anyone inside the trailer hears a bit of crunch and squeak noises as you move about above them.

You will be fine @ 190 lbs.
I personally stay away from any of the "cut out areas". Like the a/c, skylights, roof vents..
When I go up, I wear either bare feet or socks or really soft soled sandals. If you go up with shoes on, make sure u have no rocks/pebbles stuck in your soles that can cut your roof..
If I am on my roof for a long time i use a peice of plywood(with carpet glued to the side that touches roof) to help distribute my weight evenly across the trusses..

I walk on my roof, with no major concerns. You can feel where the trusses are located. I do make sure my shoes are rock free, and no tools in my back pockets. The membrane is very thin and tears easily. I do put my stabilizers down when I go up, and wrap the edge of the ladder with towels before leaning it up on the HTT. I did nick my roof the first time I was up.

I'm 190lbs and walk on my roof to do the cleaning, inspecting, etc. with no problem. Just follow the coomon sense tips already posted and you'll be fine.

I'm about the same wight I crawl on all 4's when on the roof to clean and condition it.
