Does anyone know why Jayco would stick this warning label below the 12v power socket? It's located on the side of the refrigerator cabinet in our model. I used a standard 12v plug with USB ports on the back side to test charging phones, flashlights, fan, etc. They all worked as if they were plugged into the 12v socket in my truck. Is there something special about a 12v TV that would make it exclusive to use by this socket? Or is it the little coax-looking plug below the big one that the sticker refers to?

It works like the one in your vehicle. Some old mobile TV's had a plug like that. The coax is for the antenna and you have to push the button to turn the green light on for the ant. to work.

They just don't want you A. sticking a cig lighter in it or B. running a cord from there to wherever around the camper.

Its been a while, but as I recall there is an inline glass fuse between the main wire harness and the AUX receptacle. If you blow the fuse, I bet it would be a fun chasing your tail trying to find the issue. I believe my radio also has an inline glass fuse there too.

I use mine all the time with a 12V AUX USB charger, a 12V fan. Once in a while I plug in my 12V. I have not had any issues.

I have a cigarete lighter shaped usb charger which also displays the voltage. I used it a lot when I had lead batteries.

Our rig didn’t come with a TV — 12v or otherwise. I bought an AC one and use the receptacle for an LCD voltage meter to monitor the charge on my batteries.
