Water Filter Bypass

I guess that depends how often you change the water filter. I normally change the filter once or twice a year. If I'm running an antifreeze through the filter at the end of the season, it would be a filter I'd be replacing in the spring anyway. I like the idea though and may do it to bypass the filter for a sanitation (bleach) treatment during the camping season. Thanks!

I bought a valve and have been thinking about the best location for it. I want to be able to bypass it the filter when sanitizing.

I agree, a by-pass mod around the filter has it's advantages.

On my prior TT I had a piece of pex w/fittings on each end that I could put in place of the filter when needed...., winterizing, etc..

My 351 is a ‘13 so I’m not sure if things are in the same places. My filter is behind a hatch in the basement wall and is tucked in behind the water cabinet.
I saw a 5th (non-Jayco) that had a very similar water cabinet and the filter was mounted in the cabinet. Very convenient! I’ve thought about relocating mine to a similar spot but I’d have to move some other things to make room for it. Might be more effort than it’s worth.
That said, the thought about a bypass still intrigues me. My casual looking into the possibility suggests it’s probably do-able. Just gotta get to it. Got a pretty long list of maintennance items so this is pretty far down in priorities.
