water leak.

Started getting water coming through where the TV antenna crank is last night during a pretty good rain.
Any good ideas?
My camper is a 2013 x23b.
Would this be a warranty item?

It wouldn't always be covered under warranty. There is an o ring for the shaft that could be out of place or there is a crack in the sealant around the antennae itself.

Being a 2013 I would think it is a warranty item. I will be taking my 19H in for what I consider a warranty issue leak. The dealer said they will look at it and as long as it isn't anything caused by customer damage, it would be warranty.
Of course it would be worth climbing up and taking a look at it. Caulking isn't covered by warranty and that would be a simple fix.

If your HTT is still under warranty, I would have your RV dealership inspect it before performing any repair work on your own.

I found the little rubber cap that seals the antenna coax run was not pushed down and sealed as it should be on our new unit. Quick fix but it should have been done at the factory or during pdi.

that is why it is very important to get up on your roof once a month or so and look around at everything

X2 - Unfortunately had to wait for the 2-day downpour to stop before getting on the roof and re-seating the little rubber cap.

It's the o ring on the rod. Mine was missing from new. If you can find silicone o ring grease get some and use it. If I remember right. There's a set screw on the crank handle, spring and the collar. It comes apart easy enough, go up on the roof and do the rest of the lube ops on the antenna assy while you're at it. Winegard may sell a rod and ring kit. but dont forget the o ring grease. I have to do it again, it's been 5 years and in a downpour that's what happens

Check the caulking around the antenna base also. I had a water leak near the area of the antenna crank- about three inches from it where two ceiling panels came together. I pulled up the rubber cap and ensured it was sealed properly and the reset and sealed it. I also removed all the caulk from around the antenna base and resealed it myself. So far I have had no leaks.
