Water Leaking in Shower

I have a new Alante 31V, quite happy but have a few niggles (mostly about the very rusty chassis). Now noticed another thing: once on city water (with pressure regulator), there is a slow leak in the shower tub that seems to come from the seam (quite loose seam, that is) between the left wall and the tub. Might be from the faucets or whatever.

I will go to the dealer for an unrelated recall and mention as warranty fix.

But otherwise, is this a common thing to occur? Any known root cause?

Thanks, JB

Jerry,

My Entegra 31v had a leak on the right side of the shower, around the glass door rails at the bottom. I asked my dealer to fix it and thought they did but after it recurred, I fixed it myself. Sounds like yours is on the other side though, so maybe a different issue.

Can I ask how you fixed it? I have what sounds like the same leak (intermittently) on my Precept. Thanks

Gary,

I just redid the caulking where the door jambs meet the shower wall, as well as where the wall and base plate aluminum plates come together. Its also important to note that with the three glass shower door config, the outside door, if you spray intpo the corner where that door meets the wall, the water will come around the door. So first check to see if that's your issue in which case its not a leak per se.
