Why didn't I do this years ago?

Our water pump was loud. Like wake up my wife if I used it in the middle of the night loud. Finally bought an accumulator and jumped into the mod. The mod became a repair.

No one here will be surprised to learn my hoses were stretched tight around some corners and my pump was only screwed down with two screws. They didn't even hit the screw hole, they made their own in the rubber.

Ten minutes and I was able to reposition the pump, install the accumulator, and listen to my wife say "is it not on?" She couldn't hear the pump over the running water.

I think the accumulator pressure may need a little adjusting, but overall it's the best $30 I've spent this week.

Great mod.

I Did the same to my TT a few years ago. The steel braided hoses (inlet/discharge @ accumulator) also contributed to minimizing noise/vibration in my case.

It's moved up and down on my mod list multiple times over the years. For some reason it just never makes it to the number 1 spot. Our current camper the pump is very accessible so there is no excuse. This post may have just moved it to the top of the list.

I did the accumulator mod in a older 5er that had lots of water pump noise. 1 gallon steel, worked great. Not really needed in our 2020 Pinnacle, it's pump won't wake you up.

Have done this as well but it's getting noisy again so I assume I need to adjust the pressure? Not sure how to do that...
