Weldtec lift installed

Just got back from having a 4" Weldtec lift kit installed. Complete new front suspension installed with new shocks and steering stabilizer. New spring pack out back, getting rid of that overload spring that didn't work well to begin with. The front leveling jacks had to be moved back a little because they interfered with the new trailing arm. All the brackets were welded on to the frame. The drive shaft also had to have a spacer installed for better alignment.
The ride was like night and day, a couple of times driving down the freeway, I looked down and realized my speed was 72mph and smooth. The ride was so much smoother with no vibration and rattling. Down side: price, but quality installation.

That's a "someday if I have money to burn" upgrade for me. Would absolutely LOVE to do it... no way I could clear the cash outlay with the boss though...

Question: Do the OEM leveling jacks have enough stroke for the extra 4"? Did they adjust the mounting height to accommodate? And was it actually 4", or more, or less?

The rise is almost exactly 4". The leveling jacks were left the same height but look like they have enough stroke to work, I will be checking that soon. That was the problem before, the jack pads were too low and hitting on speed bumps.

Got a new sticker on my dash showing min. safe height.

Before and after--- 4" is not as extreme or noticeable as a 6" but it does make a difference.

Time to put some 35's on there for "shoes". Gonna need a Warn Winch, ARB bumper, light bars... :)

Very nice, hate to ask but rough cost? We have a 2018 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV and this sounds interesting! Good looking rig.

Parts including springs, control arms and new fox shocks on all corners is about $5500. You can do it yourself but it involves cutting and welding brackets, moving the front leveling jacks back about 8", adding a drop down bracket on the drive shaft and an alignment w/shims afterwards. All of which doubles the cost.
There are a number of shops around that are experienced doing the install, just have to find one close to you and give them a call.

Expensive, but so worth it. The new spring packs are well matched to the weight of the RV, and the extended radius arms help tremendously with tracking straight down the road.

No more white knuckles when semi's pass. Before the lift I would first get sucked in towards the semi and then pushed away. If the winds were high that just made matters worse.
