I`m happy to say the forum members have been so well behaved lately this place just about runs itself. No editing, deleting, warnings, reported posts, etc in several weeks. Keep up the good work, JOF members! Our moderators have had it easy! :campfire:

That's exactly why I hang out here rather than rv.net. I hung out at rv.net for several years but finally got fed up with the negativity and sometimes downright hostility for having expressed a different opinion.

I was an IRV2.com member for 10 years before joining JOF earlier this year. I learned a whole lot with my first RV and IRV2.
My only complaint with any forum is those that don't take the time to read the entire thread and "polluting" it with the same information previously posted.

Seems like there's a lot of Jayco bashing, IMO.

Of all the forums I am involved with This one is by far the most decent one as far as idiots on the loose. I think it has everything to do with the mindset of a person that likes camping. Mostly when visiting campgrounds I find it the same way also. That surely has something to say about our love for the hobby????

popjim52, loving that avatar! The season is upon us!

Now, back to your regularly scheduled program.

As a brand new RV'er I appreciate the lack of "Flame" here. I am very mechanically inclined and do a lot of my own repairs and maintenance on my vehicles but the RV is a whole new animal to me. I've found the members here to be a valuable asset.

Time for a TRUCK WAR!!!

Even those have been pretty tame lately. And the "RV Toilet paper" and "Can my truck tow this" threads have been good lately too!

I have to wonder if it's because many of us are in "camping season". I wonder if the "mood" or behavior changes slightly when we're all cramped up with "cabin fever"?

Good call! That's probably it! We get hateful when we're stuck inside for the winter, then become pussycats when camping starts! :D

Wow! We must have our language pretty clean, too! No ****, ****, or even ***-**-*-*****. to edit.

Kudos to the members and the moderators!

I still frequent rv.net but I don't post a lot. What I like about jaycoowners.com is that everyone is pretty open minded and not too wrapped up in themselves.

We've been busy bashing our Jayco lately. So much that we broke stuff.. We have to redo the wardrobe shelf. We had books on it. About 20 lbs. After mountain roads the poor shelf just gave way. It seems to be....stapled. We will go at it with wood and shelf brackets.

Should have got beefier springs. Both ways through the Green Mountains rough road. One was dirt. The other paved but that should be taken loosely in meaning.

The antenna crank and spring fell off too. It was interesting opening the door at home and peeking.

We've already done in the table. The unit is four months old but has seen now some 60 nights and hardly in one place. No warranty work really though
