Well we ran into our first problem

We have a 2016 Jay Feather 23BHM. Everything has been great so far. However, a few days ago we noticed that the light on the electric tongue jack won't turn off. When it's dark we noticed that it was turned on, go outside, turn it off, but it doesn't go completely out, it just gets dimmer. Then, some time later you go and look at it again and it's completely bright again. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

We had the trailer connected to 110, so I unplugged that and when I got up this morning it was still doing the same thing. I'm not sure where to start exactly. Any ideas would be appreciated.

That would be a very good guess. I would definitely start troubleshooting at the switch.

That happened to us too. I took the switch apart and cleaned the contacts, and now it's working as it's supposed to. The switch is molded into the housing so be careful when you take it apart. The jack housing isn't weatherproof so covering it when not in use will stop water from getting in.

I agree with the switch - good chance it has moisture in it

Has it rained recently, does a lawn sprinkler hit it or did you wash it before you left? Water getting into it can cause it to illuminate, sometimes dim and sometimes brighter.

Power Jack's should be covered with a bag or bucket. Haven't seen one what is fully waterproof.

It has rained a lot the last week or so.

I would lean towards water infiltration considering the behavior and recent rain.

A friend has a 2016 Whitehawk 32bhds with the electric jack from the factory and he has similar results with the led light coming on by itself and it is due to water.

I just had to change the up and down switch on my tongue jack due to corrosion after leaving it uncovered for 1 year. I have since ordered a cover and utilize a bucket over the jack while in storage.
