I have a 2008 Jayco Melbourne 29D. There is a "male" plug and cord hanging behind the mudflap of the rear tires on the driver's side. I tried to trail the cord to find where it leads to but I am not able. Does anyone know what this cord would be? I bought the unit used and was not able to find what this cord does from the papers I received.
Thanks!

That is a add on by someone either to a heat tape or a plug inside the baggage compartments look under the sink area or shower and check plumbing

Or a mod to allow someone to power the water heater thru a separate source to conserve current on the regular input. Look around where the power goes into the wh for some method of changing the power input.

This is a common mod on many 30a rigs. Never seen one on a Class C but no reason it could not be done.

Thanks. I'll do some more research. I thought maybe it was a standard option for something.
