I’m dumb. What thermocouple for fridge fan.

Hey, I’m an electrical idiot. I’m going to attempt to put a few computer fans (1top-1bottom) to cool my fridge tubes in the back when it gets hot tied into the 12v
Fans are no problem but am stumped when I go searching for the thermocouple that will kick in when it gets 100 degree plus in there.
Has anyone done this mod, n if so be so kind n send me a link.
I’m also putting a fan inside fridge but the Norcold n811 but have to run a wire down the drip tube as hooking up to light turns it off when I shut door. Can’t seem to bypass that from inside.

When I had the 195RB I used one of these thermostat switches to control the computer fan I'd installed in the exterior fridge vents. It worked quite well.

As for the interior fan - you'd have to be able to tap into the 12v+ for the light prior to the door switch or other mechanism used to control it. That's usually not feasible so running the 12v+ line out the drain tube is the easiest way to deal with this. You can still tap into the ground line for the interior light. I didn't have a exterior drain in the little Norcold N3xx in the 195RB but this is the way the interior fans in the larger N8XC fridge in the ORV are wired.

Thx for the link. I will get a few of those. It’s for fans behind fridge in vent space so it doesn’t have to be nor cold- but that’s great.
Yes- I don’t want to run wire down drip tube- seems like a pain n problem inducing too. Fan manufacturer said on this model that’s what I have to do.
I’m going to try n get to the ground before door on/off but don’t see it n fridge wiring diagrams may as well be in Martian to me.
If anyone has done this interior fan mod On a norcold where the light solution isn’t easy-peazy let me know.

Thx

I’ve installed 2 inside fans and ran down the drain tube both times. My Norcold (a 4 door) has 2 fans in back to move the air. Both had failed last summer and the fridge wouldn’t cool very well. Replacement required removing the fridge to access the back side but with an extra pair of hands the job was pretty easy. I’ve read several posts where folks have installed fans as you are doing and it seems to work well.

The switch that Hivoltage98 showed will work nicely. It is available on Amazon for a few $ less.

I also ran a wire down the condensation line. You can tap into the 12v power feed line at the frig. I made a little wye connection with scotchlocs so I can easy disconnect any one item, of ever needed.
