What's happening in your world today?

Glamper64, have you spun your tires over this year to get that flat spot out of the tires and lubricated the wheel bearings? :p So how is your hockey season going? When I look into this topic I get tired by just reading the updates. Better put this one on my ignore feature before SWMBO gets some crazy ideas and begins making lists for me.

Thanks OTG, your coworker sounds like a dishonest contractor looking for "make work" projects :cautious:
I'm more of a don't touch it if it's working fine guy...of course maintenance is important.
Jayhawk, I usually spin my own crap but I did spin the tires around a few times, one turned easy the other one was sticky a little at first...not bad for being stationary for seven years.
As far as hockey goes, it's Edmonton go time! It's gonna be a tough rematch of last season :boxinggif:Nobody likes a repeat winner.
BTW Jayhawk, you could just skip reading the updates and look at the pics :pictures:
Hey have you guy's checked out the new emojis, they're very cool:hammer:
Call me a Canadian but what's a SWMBO

I like to practice reading furrin language . So I read everyone's posts, including ones from Kanooks . :p:ROFLMAO:

And if you want to know why I speak the way I do, check out this video.

I guess in the furrin language Kanooks is really Canucks :)
SWMBO yes indeed, most of the time :sneaky:

Here is a forum source!

Yesterday I got an email from the credit union informing me that all the employees there wished me a happy birthday. It was done nicely and I appreciate their effort, but it wasn't my birthday.

Yesterday was dinner out to celebrate our 30th anniversary, and today was a new battery for the Goldwing that's gotta go. Can't ride anymore after having 10 motorcycles. The TT is our new way to tour.

So did you receive any gift cards ON :giggle:
Was that an anniversary for riding motorcycles or the wife JFR  (sorry about that one)
I'm still riding mine after 30 plus years...don't asked me the exact number :ermm:
Speaking of riding, today I'm biting rubber bullets lets say...$1400+ at Costco for some new Michelin Defenders on my 2018 Chevy Silverado replacing the original Goodyear Wranglers...expensive boots but worth it I guess

No, no gift cards....unfortunately.

Been riding for 50 years but my back injury and neuropathy makes me leery to wrestle a 1000 lb bike around like I used to. Time for someone else to enjoy her (the bike, not the DW :)).

Funny, just had new Michelin Defender sneakers put on my truck last month. I have another appointment next Wednesday to have the TPMS sensor seals replaced. Losing a pound or so every couple of days on two of them. Being a 2016, I'm having all four replaced.

I rode for about 10 years back in my younger days. Yamaha 750, shaft drive!
I did give my youngest son the bug, he retired 4 years ago as a motor cop.

Interesting JFR, I had issues with keeping air in my old tires. I wonder if that was the issue? I'll keep checking them...didn't know you could have sensor seals replaced, a new one is about $100 I believe...what do they charge for sensors?
I've only driven a motorcycle in my dreams like when I can fly :D I have driven a few mini bikes in my teen years. I always thought it was quite dangerous riding and so did my Mom :)
It's unbelievable the way some of these crazy guys ride so fast weaving in and out of traffic on the highway🏍️...there's been lots of accidents/deaths in news lately. I had a buddy almost kill himself missing an off ramp so no bikes for me thanks.
I do see the passion while riding/cruising responsibly on a Goldwing or a Harley with no other vehicles around mind you.

Short story long, I had to have two sensors replaced on the DWs Toyota a few years ago. If I remember right they were around $75 each from our local tire shop. Supposedly a two piece sensor that would be less to repair later on. Much less than the dealer wanted. Same store says $20 apiece for sensor ""seals" on my F150, and no need to get the entire TPMS sensors if they still work. He stated he gets 100 at a time and changes a lot of them.
When I was younger, riding a m/c wasn't near as dangerous as today unless you were stupid. Today it seems someone is hurt or worse every week. Too many distracted drivers on their phones.

Thanks for the short sensor story JFR :)
Just the other day they closed a major highway for hours because a m/c and a transport truck somehow collided...the m/c rider was pronounced dead at the seen.
There were so many accidents this last month...it must be because of the early/new riding season and unsuspecting drivers of which a good number of the are already distracted.
If I did ride a m/c, I would make sure the vehicles around me knew I was there and never would speed up behind a vehicle to pass it unless you ride a super loud and scary HD 😨

Well, another week before I'm back up at the glamper to continue with unfinished projects and do a little glamping of course :) I do miss living in my Jayco from time to time...it's a different world 2 1/2 hours north...no traffic, no stress, peaceful, beautiful scenery...it would be much fresh/cleaner air except for the forest fires happening right now. No fire ban as I know of and the black flies should be done eating us now and only have the mosquitos to deal with :(
Boy could I do some politics right now but I might face a lawsuit :sneaky:
What's happening in your US world today? :cautious:
Anyway, how great is the playoff hockey eh! The Panthers are up in the series and made up of mostly very angry Canadians on skates :noyes:

Well taking off to the glamper today until Friday, the weather's looking great...then off again next Wednesday afternoon with the wife for the Canada day long weekend :ohcananda2:
Had the family over yesterday for Fathers day and a BBQ...scored a golf coupon, a pickle ball set, a proper flag pole not a hockey stick :) and a very cool round Canadian sign that say's "The True North Strong and Free"!
Speaking of scoring, I'll be watching the game and CNN...go Oilers.😅

My wife and I are in Europe right now on a cruise.

I am keeping an eye open for RVs to see how they compare to what we have in the United States.

Best not to ruin an entertaining thread - but agree there are times when I enjoy a good political discussion. It's just getting so hard to do that anymore these days. The center has become a rather quiet and lonely place over the last 15-20 years.

I really haven't got a clue - and I am loving it! We've been up in British Columbia the last week, and now we are sitting in a small, primitive provincial campground just north of Grande Cache, AB - the only ones here! The scenery is gorgeous - and we are headed to Jasper for a few days later today before we have to make the final leg home. I really wish we had more time - but we will be back again very soon as this was an awesome trip.

Well...I was going to have all four TPMS sensor stems replaced on my F150, but they said only one was leaking. I had them show me the old one, and it was almost like a regular valve stem except it threaded onto the TPMS, then got pulled through into the wheel. They charged me $10 and back home in 20 minutes. So far, all the pressures are holding. Was expecting an $80 repair bill so not complaining about their service.
