Where are you camping this weekend?

Copper Breaks State Park, Tx. Will be in the 30's hen I leave Monday to drive the 105 mile journey.

Love that place. Is the bridge open? I saw they were going to be working on it last time I was there.

We’re at Mineral Wells state park. One of the few places I can reach on a Friday while the sun is up due to traffic and when my kiddo gets out of school. Nice weekend so far.

We are hoping to get off the schneid for 2022 this weekend. Having been holed up at home since November, the weatherman is predicting temps in the high 60s this weekend. Hoping to get out of town early Friday and have a line in the water late afternoon at beautiful Lake Pomona near Vassar, KS

Sebastian Inlet SP, Florida. 42 degrees (feels like 38) 16 -22 mph winds. Was going to fish but I forgot my Ice fishing Gear LOL.
Should be warming up by Tomorrow.

Da Bridge

Love that place. Is the bridge open? I saw they were going to be working on it last time I was there.
.
Bridge is 'open'...actually just filled it in over a steel culvert with six to eight truckloads of asphalt. Was supposed to stay through Thursday, pulled out about 100pm Wednesday with a 30 mph tailwind. Got home, wind had shifted to north at about 40, got 9.8 mpg going down in 30 mph crosswind (that was fun!) 9.9 coming home, most of that went downhill from Hedly to home, coming north on Tx-70 dropped into 4th at one point pulling wind and 60mph. Only malfunction was park water froze at ground level and they just have galvanized sticking up with some foam zip tied to it. My Pirit worked fine. Woke up Thursday morning to 60mph wind, dropping temps and snow on Friday.

Las Vegas NV, Amarillo TX, Fort Worth Tx, Shreveport LA, Biloxi MS and Spring Hill Florida and then………

We are at Red Rock Canyon campground outside of Las Vegas for the week. Lots of hiking (13+ miles already under our belts and counting) and spectacular views. Weather is beautiful with temps in the upper 70's to low 80's.

The DW and I are exploring the Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois. Our first stop was three nights at Giant City State Park. We're now at Oak Point Campground for three nights. We'll then spend three nights at Cave-in-Rock State Park. Beautiful campgrounds so far. Lots of hiking on many beautiful trails.

The Fort

Camping at Ft Wilderness for the week beautiful week so far. Not too hot just yet but getting there. The parks are not too crowded.
