Leaving this weekend, first night Floating Mill COE near Silver Point TN. Next night will be Willow Branch COE near Little Rock Ar. The next few nights we will be moochdocking in Paris Tx. Then moving on to Sowell Creek COE near Proctor Tx. for two weeks. We will be visiting family the whole way. Return trip? Who knows, I will just point her East and see what happens.

July we spent a few days at Manchester State Park which is across the sound from Seattle along one of the ferry routes. Nice campground with a few partial hookup spots. Some interesting history from the early 1900's as well.

August we spent a few days - literally the hottest days of the month - dry camping at Swift Forest Camp on the south side of Mt St Helens. 102 the day we arrived and 100 the rest of the time. You can really burn a lot of amps up running fans 24 hrs a day. Our site was shaded fairly well so the generator did come out a couple times as really no opportunity for the portable solar. But there were some nice sunsets and late evening it did cool down nicely.

After the Labor Day holiday we'll be headed north of the border into British Columbia up towards Chetwynd and Dawson Creek.

I went camping by Johnsville, CA. Down the hill in Blairsden is a popular pizza place. It got a little crispy this week.

Leaving for Fort Bragg Ca.( Pomo campground ) this morning for a week. Then we’re going to wander over to Nevada city Ca for a little bit, from there we’re heading to Nevada,Arizona.New Mexico,Texas,Colorado,Utah back to Nevada and then home. Should be gone about 8 weeks.

We’re at Douglas Dam Tailwater Campground (TVA) next to Sevierville, TN. Had 7 nights booked then contacted Reserve System as the online was being merged to a new system to book a day early arrival. Got confirmation and was all set. Got here on Thursday and our site was occupied. 🤦🏻*♂️
Spoke to campground manager and as a result of the reserve system migration that apparently didn’t merge, there was a double booking situation. (We weren’t the only one).
They put us on another site for last night and refunded the charge, we’ll move to our original site as soon as it’s available. (some times you just have to roll with the flow 🤷🏻*♂️).
Looking forward to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Smoky Mountains.

Over the last 2 weeks my Wife, our two travel buddies and me put 3,700+ miles on our Jayco Pinnacle and my Ford F-350. We went from Michigan to New Mexico to visit our Grandson, his new Wife, and our very first Great Grandson. On the way home we stopped in Branson and enjoyed the dinner cruise aboard the Branson Belle.

Stayed at Indian trail conservation area owned by the mo dept. of conservation. Free boondocking for deer season. Disturbing trend I have seen in the last month. Tablerock state park. Somebody is paying for tent sites for the homeless. This weekend found several more homeless at the conservation area. Friday morning after I drove off at 5:15 am, one of them was snooping around my camp. My boy was tacking care of business in a old blind set up with a bucket and a heater behind the camper. Asked him if he was trying to get shot. Thinking about firing off several letters to elected officials. I go camping to get away from the hood and it's problems.

Just returned from Wapakoneta, Ohio KOA. Visited the Armstrong Museum, Bicycle Museum (read about the Miami Erie Canal outside of the Museum), Fort Amanda, repaired the hot water heater and basically relaxed for a day or two.

Angel Fire RV resort. Not really camping since they deliver waffles in the morning, pick up your trash and there’s a hot tub.
