Where are you camping this weekend?

Not this weekend, but we're gearing up for a few days at Table Rock Lake in southern Missouri in early October. Hoping all the lying scumbags in Congress get their act together and approve a budget so our COE campground isn't shut down.

Just back from a few days in central Oregon dry camping at Little Crater campground in Newberry Volcanic National Monument. What a fabulous place - I highly recommend spending some time there.

Use to be our favorite spot but we have found it packed to the brim lately.. Sure miss the wild berry pancakes. Love fishing Crater Lake too.. How packed was it when you where there?

It wasn't bad, which is what we were hoping for being late in the season. We ended up making our reservation for the week quite late (08/23) as we had originally planned on being in Northern CA this trip but had to change things up due to the wild fires. The campground slowly emptied out during the week but was due to fill up again Friday which is when we headed out.

We drove through the Cinder Hill campground on the northeast corner of East Lake and the back half of the campground was already closed for the season and only a few occupied sites on the front half. Weather-wise couldn't have asked for a better week - only one day ended up being cloudy and windy, the rest were blue skies, mid-70's daytime highs and mid-30's overnight. This was our first time there and given it's an easy day drive from home we are definitely looking to head back again.

Just got back from near bay city mi stayed at finn rd Park what a nice campground large lots cement pads and full hook up for only 26 bucks a night! Also has beautiful walking trails to will definetly be going back

We've been at Fireside Buffalo Valley RV in Moran, Wyoming since last Tuesday. A decent RV park about 45 minutes from Jackson Hole and about 90 minutes from the south entrance of Yellowstone. Trees block the view of the Tetons from our spot but can be seen from a group fire pit area 30 yards or so away.
What a beautiful area this is. Wish we had more time to explore, heading back home Friday morning.

Bought our first TT at the end of May.

A little over 4000 trouble free miles on it since.

Did a tour down south (from PA) Virginia, Tennessee, West Virginia, Kentucky. Went up north to Connecticut, NY State, Jersey shore and Poconos a few times and West to Gettysburg.

Bought the trailer on a whim after a sudden loss of employment and we've had the best summer of our lives with the little ones and memories that will last forever.

Sucks the season is over and I have to get back to work, but we're kicking ourselves for not doing this sooner. I'm fixing to winterize the trailer just to unwinterize it for a few trips we scheduled in December-January, lol. Hopefully the heater keeps up with Maine winter!

Back!

Back from the voyage to Angel Fire. Every night down in the low 30's. Daytime highs around 68-70, except yesterday, 58. Leaving Angel Fire on US 64 at 645 this morning and this happened:
To the guy driving the Jayco Greyhawk pulling a Jeep Wrangler who pulled out in front of me on US 64 at Angel Fire this morning: Karma gonna get you! I missed you, the next guy might not.
Hope it's no one on this forum but that was WAY TOO CLOSE...
On the other hand it was delightful all week.

We are heading out tomorrow to Fireside Campground in Lone Rock, Wisconsin to camp with friends. The kids have tomorrow and Monday off of school so we are going for 3 nights. Weather looks great for this time of the year!

Just spent a night at Copper Breaks State park in Texas. With no moon last night the stars were amazing and all campers kept lights to a minimum. Next stop is NM for a some cool temps.

Funny. Yep. That was me. We got one of the front spots near the dog park at Angel Fire.

Just got to Angel Fire. Beautiful up here. I’m losing faith in my trailer though. So far had blind string come apart. Noticed inner rear window frame of bowed at the corners, and the kitchen slide is dragging the floor making the vinyl floor bunch up in a corner near the wall. But, the cool temps are fall colors are pretty sweet.
