This seems like a dumb question, but after our first time out some trim popped off, no big deal. As I was going through all my random adhesives in the garage i was wondering what would be the best to keep the trim in place? Something more rigid like wood glue or epoxy, or something that has some future vibration resistance like silicone or something similar. Just curious what others have used.

Thanks,

Mudd, what unit do you have and what trim is loose?
In general I would avoid adhesives that set up rigid, our units like to flex. I don't think I'd use silicone adhesive (caulking?) as subsequent repairs will be more difficult since silicone doesn't like to stick to existing silicone.
I can't think of any trim that is glue-only on our 5th.

I had a piece of wood molding that came off on my previous TT after the 1st week of ownership. I used liquid nails and a couple of clamps to hold it in place. Never had another problem with it in the 2 yrs we had that TT

I used regular old Titebond for my trim re-gluing. The vibration isn't that big of an issue, and it was trim, not structural.

Gorilla adhesive. We have tried many different products but nothing else has held up to the 125 F interior temps while in storage in AZ.

Thanks for the reply, I have a Jayflight 145rb, and it was just a piece of trim around the entrance door.

Thanks abarkl, that's good to know. being in Vegas it will see some pretty high temps as well. I'm sure this will not be the first piece to come off when the heat kicks in this year.

+1 for Gorilla Glue, and for the opposite reason. Also stands up to storage in -40 F/C temps, and waterproof too! "I put that sh** on everything"
