Just blowing off some steam here… gotta laugh. If I didn’t have bad luck, wouldn’t have any luck at all.

Been waiting for Month and half for our Cummins Coach Care yearly service, was scheduled for this AM. We drove 2.5 hrs from our part time spot to get to another camp ground near the Cummins dealer as our appt was at 0730 this AM. Got up early so we could get on the road, pulled all the slides in but the dinette slide topper roller would not roll, so fiddled with that a few minutes to where could at least get the slide closed and not damage too much of the fabric.

Got to Cummins service at 0722 where the service manager that was there commenced to tell me that they could not complete the entire oil change and generator oil change today, but could complete by Monday…. ARGH!! You have to be kidding me - they said they were backed up with this emergency service that came in and short a tech, but monday they could get it done.
Good thing we have this RV spot reserved through Monday.

Then headed back to the RV park flustered, went to stop at a stop light, got in the left turn lane, slowing down and this School bus with humongous mirrors came rushing by - clipped my mirror and broke the mirror mount — ARGH X a million !! Seeing if insurance will cover. Tried to JB weld it back and put a small ring clamp on, but doubt it holds.

What a royal bummer!!! :(

That's why I say if everybody went to heaven
Hey-ey-ey, I believe I'd miss the call
But you see if it wasn't for bad luck,
Trying to tell you son if it wasn't for bad luck, now now
Oh, oh, I wouldn't have no luck at all
Would you believe I wouldn't have no luck at all

Man that's bad, when we see another vehicle with big mirrors coming we quickly push the retract button. I am sure it has saved ours in the past~~~--- but I have another one that I am thinking about whether to post it or not that happened on my last trip this week!

Oh North, you can't dangle something like that, then keep it from us!:p

All of it sucks. This is a good pace to 'type it out' and blow off that steam. I hope things are better on track by Monday.

I notice that mirror issue all the time in Yellowstone. I understand those with "fixed" mirrors but if you have the capability to retract or remove the temporary, please do so.

On the plus side school districts are usually good at handling claims.
