Wiring for 12v house battery relay

I need a little help on a repair on the relay wiring. The small red wire is hanging loose. Does it connect to the B+ on the small board? This is the small relay attached to the solenoid in the house battery compartment -,it’s a 2015 Greyhawk 29MV

Yes... well I suspect I better say maybe as your second image shows a terminal ring on a wire so perhaps we are talking about two different wires. Check out this image of what is supposed to be there.

BTW, if you desire to replace it, I would consider ordering a replacement relay now as it appears they are in stock and most of the time they are out of stock.

The board is the protection board, which is the part that makes it where you can't hold down the disconnect switch for more than a second without having to disconnect\reconnect the battery to re-engage the relay as it kicks into protection mode and stays disconnected as if there was a short. ~CA

The heavy gauge cables will connect to the large studs and the small wires will connect to the small studs. One small wire will attach to the metal frame and the other will be the control wire.
 
Do you have a voltage meter? If so, check the voltage on both sides of the relay and see what you get. ~CA
 
Yes, I have a multimeter. Will check both sides of the little coil.
I would check for voltage on both of the larger terminals with the meter. Black lead on the frame or battery ground and the red lead voltage checked on each of the larger terminals and if the two readings are equal then the relay is on (or should be on). This relay (contactor) is called a "latching" relay which takes a pulse of power to change from on to off and back to on, so there is no constant power on the switching coil.

For another and perhaps easy (depending on accessibility) you could use a single jumper cable and jump from on side to the other (jump the large terminals) and if the power is restored then that would also tell you the relay is open (off). ~CA
 
Thanks for that tip. It started working after I poked around with my meter probe, but then it would not turn off. I’m going to check the small coil continuity next. Busy day today, haven’t been able to get back on it.
 
not a lot of space to work in there with the battery in place. I may decide to remove the battery and use a jump wire down to it

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Thanks so much for your help. I ordered the replacement relay from KIB, installed it today, all works correctly now.
