We took the TT out last weekend for the first 2016 voyage to a semi local campground about an hour and a half away. We ran into a few issues, quality issues and self inflicted issues and here are our resolutions.
Year 2, I changed out the bathroom faucet in my 23RB to one that matches the kitchen from camping world, and provides more clearance for hand washing and tooth brushing. The threads on the new faucet were metal and I believe we created a leak possibly by cross threading the plastic water line. We tried several times to tighten the connecting, recrimp the lines, and nothing worked. Thanks to YouTube, I decided to replace the leaking connector with a household grade one, and used shark bites to simplify the job. See below. I need the 1/2" FIP to 1/2" FIP braided line. The faucet is working and leaks eliminated.
The first night I sat in my kitchen to eat dinner, and the backboard popped off when I leaned against it. I am 235lbs, and I guessed I leaned to hard back??? Anyway, the board is held by 2 tiny wood screws, and staples from a wire harness. Very poorly secured. I put in 7 1 1/2" wood screws for strength, and used 3M wood filler to fill the holes. Once dry, I will sand it and clean it up.
We also added a 24" Jensen LED TV to the bedroom and installed a TV mount that is removable for travelling. I used a stud finder and the knock/push method. I missed with 2 small screw holes but eventually got it. You cant see the screw holes so no harm, no foul. It turned out to mount about 1 inch to the right of the sticker showing the mounting location.
I cant wait to get out again, and we are preparing for a few days out at the 100th running of the Indy 500.
