We are planning a camping trip over Memorial Weekend in Yellowstone with a 30' spot reserved. We have since upgraded our trailer and now it is 33' long. I checked and there are not any 35' or 40' spots available in the entire park for that weekend.

I know Fishing Bridge is tight from side to side but not sure on depth. Can I shove 33' in a 30' spot there? Is a 30' spot measured from the curb? Can the back of the trailer hang over the curb?

I would hate to get down there and not fit....

I can't tell you that for sure, but I can tell you that for the last 10 years we have been going to National Parks every summer and have rounded down our trailer length when booking sites. We would book a 30' site for our 33' trailer. We haven't had an issue fitting yet. We stayed in 3 different areas of Yellowstone and Tetons doing the same thing.

If it was me, I wouldn't be worried.

Worst case scenario may be that you need to find another spot. Plenty of sites east of the entry gates by Wapiti if willing to drive some. I personally prefer those than in the NP park itself. Only thing is you need to drive 25-35 miles or so on rte 14 to get into the park. Beautiful drive though. Last time I was there I saw grizzlies along the scenic Shoshone river.
