This is the completed project.  Using 4/0 AWG wire I have the inverter connected to a 400 amp in-line fuse on the positive side and 500 amp shunt on the negative side.  I've also brought into the interior of the TT any negative or positive connection that would normally have been out on the battery post.  Makes for a very clean connection with lower risk of future corrosion for those connections.
