Hi Everyone - We just purchased a 2021 Jayco Eagle TT, model 334RLOK. I've also purchased a large solar system from Victron to support our extensive off-grid camping we typically do.
1. What is the best way to get new wire from our breaker panel to the front basement storage area? Has anyone done this and did you have to remove the sealed barrier and any insulation underneath the trailer or is there any easier way?
2. The pre-wired solar port on the roof has 8 awg cable that runs to the basement - which is where I plan to put the MPPT charge controller. I have six 200W panels which I'm running in Series-Parallel. The total amperage will be a combined 19.6 AMPS. The length of the run is approx 17 feet or 34 feet round trip. I'm trying NOT to have to also run 4 AWG wire from the pre-wired rooftop port, but the run to the basement is fairly long... anyone have experience with this and the percentage of voltage drop I can expect?
Thank you!
