Bed Modification

Biggest complaint from most 195RB owners is the flimsy bed ... here's my fix. While others added wood to the bed itself, i added support below. Two things happened .... seperated storage between inside and outside items, and did not add weight to the bed itself, when needing to be lifted

A look from underneath ...... the 3 2x2's they have running from front to back, sitting on my supporting wall

Spring loaded tension rod used to hold up bed .... added support side to side, than drilled the hole for the rod

Hard to believe that thin piece of plywood would be warped. No problem, chizeled out a groove for the center support

Lets see, $2.44 for the 2x3, $1.79 for the 2x2, a handful of small brackets ans some self tapping metal screws, and a wall ( support ) is built

I used brackets n screws from the Home Depot .....no animals were harmed in the making of this . Seriously though, never screwed into floor etc, so...
