    Hey Pfflyer,
Such a helpful response. I will check all the points you raised.
BTW, I plugged shore power before I went to work yesterday, when I returned home "Millie" started right up and the battery monitor on the wall in the RV read full.
I am going to re read your response and make sure I understand all that you have presented.
    Thanks,
Hope you have a great time camping,
    David

    Part 3 of my answer:
There are options that are hardwired and out of site. If the previous owner installed one, you could get a voltage meter and when you are plugged into shore power the reading at the jump posts under the hood would read over 13 volts. if that is the case then you should be good to go unless the MB battery is dead and not chargeable.

I am camping now and have a good internet connection. I will check back here and my email p_fronek@yahoo.com if I didnt answer your question or you have any more.

    Good luck.

    Part 2 of my answer.
A battery Tender or trickle charger may take a long time (24-48 hrs)to get your starting battery back strong enough to start the Sprinter again if it isnt too far drained and dead. If you have a regular battery charger that might be a better option now and then a trickle charger to maintain the MB battery from now on. If you are able you could take the battery out and get an auto parts store to bench test it to see if it is still good. They may be able to test it without pulling it if you can get it jump started. If you already dont know the MB battery is under the drivers feet but there are jump terminals under the hood. These jump terminals can also be used to charge the MB battery if your charger doesnt have the 12v plug for the outlet under the cupholders.

No Bother. I can imagine not having a cup in the morning and I would have done the same thing. My answer exceeds the limit here on the forum so i am going to cut and paste into a few replies.

    Part 1:
If you plug into shore power at home with a regular household outlet it will charge the house or coach battery but not the starter battery as it was wired from Jayco. I use a Battery Tender plugged into the outlet under the dinette and into the MB 12v outlet under the cupholders in the cab. This 12v outlet is always hot so it is still connected to the starting battery when the ignition is off.
