Still having trouble with suction line to pump....

Still having trouble with suction line to pump. Anyone know how to access the suction line connection at the tank?

Thanks everyone. the filter cover is not clear anymore so will try replacing it

Water pump loses suction

Water pump seems to lose suction after being unused for a little while. Somerimes less than an hour. Anyone had issues with a loose connection at the tank or maybe the suction lift is to high?
