You might try replacing the existing saddle tanks...

You might try replacing the existing saddle tanks with ones that would add a step within the tank and replace the existing fiberglass step. Thus wider tanks and possibly higher could increase total...

Has anyone ever considered replacing the existing fuel tanks with wider step tanks? It would require removing the existing steps and possibly new brackets or at least longer straps.
