Yes they should. Also if the truck is a half ton rated to pull heavier loads like 8500+ lbs you probably won't even notice the trailer is there.

You will probably be fine with a V6 but look at the tow rating of the Tow Vehicle you are interested in. As the trailer is only 2550 lbs loaded you should be fine with most v6 vans, suv's, pickups...
