Adding 2nd A/C

I'm looking to add a 2nd ac unit on my 2013 Jayco 35.5. I pulled the front vent cover and there is power and a T-stat wire. There is also duct work that is capped off. So my question is, do I get a Ducted or non-ducted unit?

I’m assuming the “front vent cover” is in the bedroom? IF the AC that runs the rest of the camper keeps it comfortable and it’s only the bedroom that gets warm than all you need is the non-ducted version. If that main ac isn’t keep it cool than I would go with a ducted ac and connect to the duct. To check the air duct you could stick an air compressor or preferably a lead blower in the air duct that was capped and see if air comes out in other areas of the camper.

I personally enjoy having a non-ducted ac in the bedroom. It’s noisy but that helps us sleep. And it gets cold!

Personally I would go ducted with a "Chill Grill" which lets you direct the air straight into the bedroom, if you want that at night, or into the duct system.

I have the complete Schematics of the duct work and it does go through out the entire Unit.. The current ac unit works but I believe that it is ridding the struggle bus during high temp days.
