There is an compatibility exception -something about fuel related gauges will not function.

Conformal coating on the board would help.

Flame sensor dirty-Gap too large

Trail for ignition only last the 10 seconds so if it lights then goes out I would suspect a dirty flame sensor which is the same component where the arc occurs.
Use the sandpaper from a match book...

Furnace not working

If the manual valve is on and gas is present it will lock out after three attempts.
Often times the flame sensor is dirty or the gap is too big or a bug /dirt is between where it arcs to the burner....
