Check the obvious

A few years back I replaced the LED light strip under the awning of our 2015 Jay Feather 23RLSW. Ever since then it has a habit of constantly changing brightness. Kept thinking I did something wrong. Finally found it. Loose wire connector at the back of the 12v switch. Not my pix, but here's where to look. The cover pops off, then remove 2 screws so you can access the terminals. One of the 4 connectors was not engaged fully, was not latched. Squeezed that sucker tight, tried the lights. Problem solved. Yay! P.S. It was a factory problem, not me.
