Jayco Rally

Hi folks:

Just curious. I see Grand Design, Airstream and some others have rallies and meet ups usually with manufacturer reps. Never see one for Jayco. Any ideas on getting one or is there something I missed?

We just joined FMCA. Plan on going to the Tucson rally in March. Switching my roadside from GS to FMCA as well.

Jayco doesn't have anything to do with rallies and hasn't for several years.

I tried to get local Jayco owners to start a rally since a big dealer is near by but found no interest….belonging to two other rally groups I thought it would be fun to get one started…oh well

There is a Facebook group where Jayco rallies are posted. Several are planned for 2024, I believe I recall ones in Gettysburg, PA and one in Shipshewana, IN, not far from the Jayco factory.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/jayco.owners.rallies

Additionally, there was the first ever Jayco-sanctioned Jayco Seneca/Entegra Accolade Super C rally earlier this year in Shipshewana, and our second is scheduled for July 2024 in Spearfish, SD.

Good to hear, but why aren't they promoted more? The Starcraft and Jayco Rallies used to be fun time and Starcraft continued even after the factory pulled out. They have now merged as a Chapter of Family Campers and RVer's. That Chapter is Friends and Family Camping Club.

Even prior to Covid, Jayco Corp. had "backed away" from being directly involved in rallies. But they did have a presence at our Super C rally this past summer, and we have been told they hope/plan to participate in more. We (the organizers of the Super C Rally) were recently informed an individual at Jayco was assigned to interact with Jayco-product rallies. We will be communicating with this individual soon in regards to our second Super C Rally next July.

Certainly a big step forward I believe.

They actually backed away around 2014/15 since the attitude was it was not seen as beneficial for the company to be involved. So for them to start getting active again is wonderful in my opinion. Hopefully some of the "big wigs" will also camp. It was great when the Vice Pres of Starcraft and his family, Akos Sefcsik, was in a rig at the Rallies.

Go to Jayco Owners Rallies on Facebook. It is a new group and they are putting together a rally is Shipshawana In. in October. They have quite a program lined up and a lot of reservations already (including us). Might be worth looking into.

My experience has been Jayco doesnt want to speak to existing customers. My previous 5th wheels manufacturers were happy to talk to their owners. We had the phone numbers of several people within the manufacturers. Rarely used them unless the dealer was uncooperative. Jayco reps are afraid to show their faces much less give you a number or email.

Years ago when we had a problem with our Allegro Class A I got a call on my cell phone while driving my semi-tanker on a busy 405 freeway. “Hello Lee…this is Bob Tiffin”, the CEO of Tiffin Motorhomes. I told him I was driving and would call him back as soon as I got parked off the freeway. I called him back about 10 minutes later and he picked up the call right away. He went on to say the problem we were having would be fixed the following week at our local RV service center. Took it in, got it fixed. Calls to the dealership went nowhere, one call to manufacturer got it taken care of.

Don’t think that would work today…

Since I don't participate in facebook, it would be nice if rallies were posted else where. A rally in the central part, or west coast wood be great, and I would attend.

The new dog in town is Brinkley. I don't own one but emailed them with questions. I had an answer the next day

Jayco Rallies

Correct, Jayco does not do rallies but I have started hosting them. I host the facebook group Jayco Owners Rallies and I now have a private and public Facebook page (Private page has lots more info and conversations). A website to follow in a month or two.

Jayco is dangling their toes in the water with their Jubilee in Tampa in January to see how it goes but my Facebook club is "Officially Recognized" by Jayco as well as all the rallies I hold. I am holding a Rally in Canada in June, 2024 / Gettysburg July, 2024 / Shipshewana Indiana in October, 2024 / and in Tennessee in April/May 2025. I am also looking into Kansas for 2025. Jayco does send me swag bags to hand out and sends reps to do seminars and I am hoping to get them involved more in future rallies.

If you have any questions you can email me at JaycoOwnersRallies@outlook.com or post them here. Hopefully I'll see you at a a rally in the future.

Rallies can be hazardous to your bank accounts . At least the ones I have attended did not have any lending institutions set up to assist you in your new found upgrades.

We normally had a local dealer in attendance since display models were going to his lot after the rally if he didn't sell them there. It was not unusual to see several attendees switching rigs midway through.
