264BH Bedroom Wall

Hello! We just bought our 2024 264BH and it has the partial wall with curtain. I have since seen some of the same model with a full wall and a barn door. Does anyone know if Jayco made this change mid-model-year or what the deal is with the change? I’d love to build mine the same way with the full wall and door but I’m hoping the get the wall panels and door from my dealer but if I’m a betting man, my dealer will not have any clue how to order these parts.

I believe that is a “hidden” factory option on your trailer. I know it was on mine, which is a similar trailer to yours.

Good chance you will need a properly equipped vin to order parts from the factory.
Considered framing the knee wall to the ceiling, add matching paneling/tape, and a barn
door from the depot?
I snore so dang loud, a wall won't help the people in the bunks. But a tinted wondow in the door or some blinds would be nice.

With the 264BH floor plan (no slide) you may find that having the partial open bedroom wall w/no door may provide an enhanced open space 'feel' and bring a little more natural light into the living room/kitchen area. At least that's what I experience in my 24RBS.

Just food for thought.

Thanks, Bob! I think you may be right. I may be thinking it would be better to have it closed off because it seems better than a curtain. But I may want it more just because it’s simply different than what I have. Haha. Thanks a lot for the input!

Thanks, everyone!

search for pocket door on this forum you will see there are lots of problems with them falling off track or messing up some other way. I would stick with the curtin.

what ggilbert said

We had a 264BH for 10 years and we loved it. Swapped it for a 28BHBE and we kinda miss the curtain. 1. You don't have to remember to snap the curtain in place before travel as opposed to the door. 2. Whether it is a hollow sliding door or a curtain, the kids are still going to hear whatever is going on in the "Parent's Bedroom" 3. In the 264BH we hung our small flat screen/DVD player over the dinette bench closest to the kid's bunks in the 264bh so if we had full hookups and we watched a rainy night movie, the kids sat on the couch or the dinette bench and Mama watched from bed while I slept and had the screen blocked by the wall portion. I miss that trailers easy towability, perfect layout, light weight ...... If we had just stopped feeding those kids and they stopped growing and packing more stuff for every trip, we would have never given up on our 264BH. Anyway, .... stick with the curtain.

My trailer came with the door and I never use it. It makes the bedroom feel small. I would have rather had the curtain.

We bought our 2019 264BH brand new so have had it for 4 years. I briefly thought about adding a full solid wall and a door, but quickly abandoned that idea. The bedroom in the 264 is so small, the full wall and door would have made it claustrophobic for me and the DW. Also, I didn't want the extra pounds which would have increased the tongue weight.
