We live in W. Washington...bought a cheap piece of land (2 acres) in the high desert of E. Washington with assoc. dues of $210/year. Works great for us as the place has a swimming pool, clubhouse etc....We don't take the trailer, we actually built a little cabin on it, but lots of people just use their land to park their trailer on.

I have no personal experience . We met a couple of full timers who had memberships to two of the larger timeshares and loved them.
They also told us there is a large secondary market for these memberships with several brokers. Check to classifieds in camping magazines
