The care and quality, or more appropriately the lack thereof never ceases to amaze me.*Literally 2 inches of 1x1 material would have made these screws go into something solid. The experts they have building them made these an inch too short on each end, and barely attached them to the back of the panel. . . . .

*

Wood scraps from my garage for the top and bottom, some Gorilla glue, and voila! Better than Jayco new now.

Pulled her home from storage...turned on the a/c and fridge. Going to spend all weekend loading her up for Yellowstone!

Installed a magnetic door stop on the bathroom door so the door knob doesn’t constantly hit the fridge door. It also keeps the door wide open...

Easy to install. Just make sure the wires to the pin end (male end) are the wires connecting to the LED's. The Female end wires go to the power wires !
Reason I wrote in and out is so, once I cut the pins off and took the insulation off the wires, I knew which end was which.

I had to cut off the pins and solder the wires. Then use shrink tubing and liquid electrical tape.

Hitched it up and hauled it around the 50 mile loop for one last check of the brakes/bearings. We finally get to go somewhere next week....

Drained and flushed the water heater — last chore left after our three-week trip.

Loaded the fridge and pantry with all the food, snacks, drinks & adult beverages today. I also filled the spare tire to 80 PSI, as it was at 25 PSI. Tomorrow we will load clothes and have a leisurely Father's Day. Happy Father's Day to all the dad out there!

Replaced a broken bolt in one of my slides and adjusted the slide to center it on the opening.

Split the awning and step light on the switch and added a dimmer to the awning light. 33 degrees Celsius today (over 90 F), so the trailer was like a hotbox as I was working on it...

Replaced the Group 24 batteries...yes BOTH of them. The two year old original equipment Daka as it is using water, and the Duracell which will go in the 5r and replace an eight year old Interstate.

First, it was 34 F when I woke up at the campsite this morning.

Second, where did you find the point to separate the wiring?

On the switch, there’s a double wire that crosses both switches and is the power. It’s the bottom of the switch lime in the picture. The top wire that is still connected in the picture is for the two interior lights in the trailer and the empty connector on the switch was for the wire going to the awning and step light. I had to disconnect it because there was almost no slack in that wire (in the second picture I have it pulled it as far as it can go.

I cut it at the connector, and extended the wires with some butt connectors and heat shrink. I then reattached the connector to the step light and attached it to the switch. I cut my hole for the new switch, tapped into the power line and fished the wires. Connected the new switch, tested everything and then attached everything back onto the wall. I was also much happier with my clean cuts for the switch rather than the badger or whatever made the holes for the original switches.

Took ours 65 miles to the dealer in Reno this morning to see what's going on with the running lights that pop the fuse in my truck. Possibly mice and the guy said it could be up to an $8,000 repair depending on what they find. OUCH! Fortunately I called my insurance company (State Farm) and they said it is covered minus our $500 deductible.
